I like reading very much,so when I want to read I try painstakingly select books.A book has to be interesting,instructive and informative.My favourite kind of books are science fiction,detective stories,romance,humor.The first book has been "The white fang" by Jack London that I've read.It was an amazing story about a wolf and his difficult life.But he struggled for the leaving to the bitter end.I learned that you have to struggle and fight for your rights.It is a very touching story.When I read I cried all the time!
There are some kind of books aren`t worth reading.For example,political newspapers or silly magazines.I think that is a wasting time in vain.Of course,You can find positive aspects of this,like you can find out about current news or events,what is happening in the your country.But I am not interested in politics.Moreover,there is sometimes untrue facts of life,system and other.
Consequently,I would prefer reading that kind of books which are interesting to me or have many various ideas.
I prefer books that can make me think about various things, mostly about different sides of human nature.
As you well know tastes are different, so I think it's kind of useless to say what's worth reading or not.
Well, I guess that's enough. It seems like a test or something that you don't really want to do by yourself.

I like to read many sorts of books. When I want to escape, my favourites are fantasy literature, including children's books, and murder mysteries. However, I also like to read non-fiction, about subjects which interest me such as Egyptology, Jungian psychology, mythology and other fairly esoteric matters. I read "serious" literature and classics as well, although tend not to read too many classics as I find some of them dry. I absolutely cannot abide chick lit, romance and "hard" science fiction about space ships with lots of techno-talk in them. I'm fortunate to be part of the Bookcrossing community and have come across many books and authors I would not have heard of otherwise.
