There is a thick carpet on the floor. The carpet is dark green. The room is very cosy. Пояснение: артикль a ставится при первом упоминании предмета в единственном числе. Артикль the используется при повторном упоминании тех же предметов и с конкретными объектами в контексте. Нулевой артикль нужен перед существительными во множественном числе в общем значении, а также перед числительными. Устойчивые выражения: to the left, on the floor.
