I had went to school for the last 3 years, then I enterred the university in Vladiwostok, and now I am a student in Moscow.
Had you already met your friend yesterday? What did he tell you? Did he tell you if he had already finished writing his book?

("в к нему в гости" - не перевести на англ. , такого выражения нету)
Он спросил, слышали ли мы уже новости
