Английские глаголы, выражающие знание, мнение, предположение, суждение (Ваш случай!) : assume, believe, confirm, consider, claim, declare, determine, discover, demonstrate, estimate, find, feel, guess, expect, imagine, know, maintain, presume, suppose, think,understand могут употребляться в конструкции со сложным дополнением: сущ. /местоимение в объектном падеже+ to-инфинитив. Инфинитив представляет собой глагол to be либо глагол to have.

Однако есть глаголы, присоединяющие сложное дополнение с предикатом, выраженным прилагательным.
