Синяя птица, синий дрозд ( Myophonus caeruleus turcestanicus ) Blue Whistling Thrush

Размером с галку (длина тела в среднем 33 см). Очень красивая птица. От других дроздов отличается крупной величиной и синей окраской. Хвост довольно длинный. Крылья округлые, короткие. Окраска черно-синяя, с серебристо-фиолетовыми блестками на спине, голове и груди, крылья и хвост темно-синие. Издали птица кажется черной. Клюв желтый.

Это очень интересно. У меня хватило фантазии пока только на Синих Бабочек. Но теперь возможно замахнусь и на Синюю Птицу.

Она относится к отряду воробьиных, семейству дроздовых, живет в горах Южной и Средней Азии, например в Гималаях и на Тянь-Шане. Она похожа на обыкновенного дрозда, но с более длинным хвостом и длинными ногами. Длина ее тела около 35 сантиметров, оперение скорее темно-фиолетовое с лиловым отливом, чем синее. Осенью основной пищей синих птиц являются плоды и семена шиповника, боярышника, дикого винограда, шелковицы, а в другое время года — личинки, насекомые, моллюски. Синие птицы любят селиться в горных ущельях, вблизи озер, рек и ручьев. Они обожают купанья, после которых не отряхиваются, как большинство пернатых, а долго бегают по камням, пока не обсохнут перья.
