I think it's human nature for people to judge other people according their appearances and we do this this sometimes, but it's definitely
not nice, and it isn't always a good gauge of how people actually are. It's
best to get to know a person before judging them. Quite often people don't
give a person a chance and then they never really know the person, they just
have their own preconceived notions about that person.
It is inevitable that we judge a person by their appearance and thereby
stereotype them. When we don't know a person their appearance is the first thing
that we have go on. A person who is well dressed will elicit a more favorable
response from us than a person who is not well dressed (which is why conmen
always try to be well dressed.) A person who wears similar clothing to us will
elicit a more favorable response. A person who is the same race etc. It is not a
flaw in us to do this; it is to be expected in any multi-culture society where
we meet so many different people each day and have to make snap judgments all
the time. It is only a problem when we are given the opportunity to get to know
the person more and fail or refuse to do so because of a prejudicial judgment
based on appearance.
Why do you wear make up,tight shirts,short pants,no under pants,no bra,style
your hair,whiten your teeth,shave your legs,armpits,elsewhere,Get
tattoo's,pluck your eyebrows,ware high heels,GO OUT! It is because you want
people to look at you and judge you in the way you want them to.That is all we
do and we all do it all the time.Adults know this the problem is there are
very few of them.Its more self serving thinking only bad people judge!
