America was discovered by Sir Christopher Columbus. (1*) It happened on the 12th of October in 1492, when he decided to sail West in order to reach India (as he was sure that our planet was round). And after sailing 4000 miles he reached some land. Columbas thought that it must be India but it was wrong. It was a new land – a new continent. It was America – Central America in fact. Since then people began to speak about the land as “ the New World”.
England also became interested in the New Word. The first English settlements appeared in America at the beginning of the 17th century. In September in 1620 a group of people left England for the New World. They sailed from the English city of Plymouth, on board the ship “Mayflower”. (2*) There were no women on the board of the ship (3*)
4) George Washington (1732-1799) was the first president of the USA.
5) The USA includes 50 states.
6) Washington DC is the capital of the USA
Парень!!! Я не знаю как можно по этим вопросам составить тему!!!!Если первые три вопроса об открытии Америки и их можно объединить в одну тему, то 4, 5, 6 вопросы - это будет новая тема!!! (т.е. ответом на каждый из них будет новая тема!) Я не представляю как можно написать текст (связный)! Тк с момента прибытия "mayflower"'a к берегам "New World"'a до момента избрания первого президента прошло много времени. Не знаю как перейти от первого момента ко второму!
