The Educational System in each country is different.
In Great Britain schools are divided into two types: state schools and private schools. In England about 93% of children attend state school, other 7% attend private schools. Private schools are very expensive. All children are required by law to attend school full-time between the age of 5 and 16. Primary school consists of a reception class, infant school takes a year. Pupil attend junior school for 5 years. At the age of 11 or 12 children move to a new school, usually a “comprehensive one” that accepts all the children from three or four neighbouring junior schools. At secondary school, pupil study for 5 years. Pupil leave school at 16 and there are several opportunities to continue their studies somewhere else.

Russian educational system differes from that of Britain. Children start school at the age of 7. Russian schools are divided into primary and secondary ones. At the age of 10 or 11 children move to a secondary school, which occupies usually 8 years, from the 5th till 11th grade. Pupil can leave school after the 9th grade and continue studying in a technical school. These are children who get the secondary-professional education. Pupil who continue getting ordinary secondary education at school after the 9th grade have an opportunity to continue studying at any high-school or university.
I went to school when i was 7. My first teacher was Olga Vladimirovna. She was very kind and patient. My favourite subject in primary school was mathematics. I was 11 when I started my 5 th grade. In a secondary school I started to study news subjects such as biology, geography, geometry, physics, chemistry, English and others. In our school one can study in three different directions, according to which the subjects usually vary. I have chosen the physico-mathematical direction. I will leave school after the 11th grade.
