The point of spider-chord-riffing is just so you can switch between the power chords with out having to move your hand alot.
If you're just going to be doing it the the lowest sounding strings then why bother? Just put your bitch into drop D and then you'll just have to barre them with your middle finger.
Like so:
D--6-6----------9-9-9--13-13-13
A--4-4--6-6-6--7-7-7--11-11-11
D-------6-6-6------------------
