9) I told them that I WAS LEAVING (WOULD LEAVE) for Minsk next day. - next day - the following day

11) The students wanted to know when they WOULD PASS (HAD PASSED) their examinations. - здесь непонятно: когда они СДАДУТ... или когда они СДАЛИ... потому как, не следует путать - to take exams vs. to pass exams...
